“One pint of donated blood can save 3 lives!”
Every 25-30 minutes an area resident needs blood
“Every 25 to 30 minutes, someone in Collier County receives blood or a blood product,” says Laura Rosen, community relations manager for the Community Blood Center (CBC), an affiliate of NCH Healthcare System. “Every donor counts because only three of every 100 people give blood.”
CBC is a non-profit organization with one goal – helping Collier and Lee residents live longer, happier, healthier lives. CBC works hard to collect donated blood to supply the urgent needs of hospitals in our area. It is hard work. The demand for blood is always urgent. The need is always there. Without an aggressive program and support from the community, the supply of blood may not be there when you or a loved one has a need. Certain blood types are especially scarce such as O+ and O-.
The good news is that you can do something that will help enormously. You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped save lives. And it won’t cost you a cent!
Win a big screen television! Give blood 3 times in 6 months.Executive Electronics of Southwest Florida has chosen to actively support the great work of Community Blood Center (CBC). Besides actively participating, EE will award a new big-screen television to one lucky donor in the blood drive.
Remember that every blood donation is vital. You can donate once or twice and have the satisfaction of knowing that you helped this important effort.
All you have to do is visit a donor location. A different location is available nearly every day. You can give blood every 56 days. If you donate 3 times before October 31st, you could win the new big-screen television donated by Executive Electronics.
