Executive Electronics selected to secure school
Recently the IT/Security Director of The Village School of Naples reached out to Executive Electronics to engineer an upgrade of an existing access control system. Executive Electronics was carefully selected by The Village School’s Security Director because of our knowledge, experience, professionalism and the reasonable cost of our proposed upgrade.
The Village School of Naples is a privately-owned accredited Christian school located in Naples, Florida. The school offers pre-kindergarten through high school education.
Below are a few images of the Executive Electronics team during their first visit to The Village School.
A note about school security…
We were horrified when we heard about the Parkland High School shooting. Among the staff of Executive Electronics are many parents with children attending school. Like you, we expect these schools to be a haven of safety and security for our children. Our children expect school to be a safe, secure place – a refuge – to learn and socialize with friends. It breaks our hearts that our children have to be stressed about the safety of their own schools.
Since we are passionate about using technology to provide security and safety, we know there are many things that can be done to make our schools safer. We’ll talk about some solutions in an upcoming article. Parents can play a big role in getting the word out about these solutions. Make sure to “Like” our Facebook page so you’ll be notified when the article is available.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma’s devastation, we received a note from a customer that touched our hearts. The main reason we are passionate about our work is that we bring our clients peace of mind by protecting their families, protecting their property and sometimes – protecting their lives. When we hear from a customer who has had an emergency that was averted by our system, it reminds us why our day-to-day efforts are so important. This is why we do what we do!
Hurricane Irma brings an invisible killer
We received a heartfelt note from a client of Executive Electronics. In the note he describes a terrifying experience he was awakened to – in the darkness of night – while Hurricane Irma was pounding our coast. He wants to share his experience. He asked to remain anonymous for privacy. He hopes others will benefit from the knowledge of just what can happen – and especially what could have happened – if he hadn’t been protected by a monitored alarm system.
Here is his story…
Here is the text from the note:
To: Executive Electronics
I wanted to let you know that the monitored alarm system you installed in my new house was a lifesaver.
We went onto the generator when Irma passed over on Sunday. At 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning I got a call from your monitoring center to say there was carbon monoxide in the house and that the fire department had already been summoned. When the fire crew got here several minutes later they measured 21% CO downstairs and 25% upstairs. We had heard an intermittent beeping in the house but were just getting roused enough to start looking for the source of the beeping when the monitoring center called and told us to get out immediately.
There were eight people and assorted animals riding out the storm in the house. If it had not been for the monitored alarm system, we could all have well been dead.
The house has an UltraAire system designed to introduce outside air into the A/C ducting. It turned out the contractor had installed the intake vent for it on the roof right above the generator, and it was sucking generator exhaust into the house.
I love the home theater system you installed, but the alarm system was the best money I’ve ever spent.
Thanks to an amazing team of lifesavers!
The happy ending to this story is the result of a team effort.
Executive Electronics installation and service technicians use their professional skills every day to bring peace of mind and security to the Southwest Florida community. Their efforts are are appreciated by thousands of people in Southwest Florida.
This story would not have been possible without the dedicated professionals in our Central Station. They worked around the clock during the worst of Hurricane Irma, dealing with an enormous number of alarm systems with power failures and trouble conditions. They do an amazing job.
We are very grateful for our community’s first responders – Fire, Police and EMTs. These dedicated professionals risked their lives to respond to emergencies throughout Irma’s devastation. They save lives and property every day.
We are so grateful for every one of you!

Executive Electronics honored
Honeywell Integrated Security recently designated Executive Electronics of Southwest Florida Inc as a Platinum-level Security Integrator Service Dealer. We are proud to receive this certification from Honeywell.
Here is Honeywell’s description of the program: “Honeywell has developed a program to enhance the quality of support and services delivered to end users from our integrators. Our Integrator Service Certification program recognizes the investments that our integrators make in servicing our products for end users. We have developed the Integrator Service Certification program because we know that successful integrators deliver high quality service to their customers, improve customer satisfaction and build customer loyalty. By emphasizing great service these integrators differentiate themselves from the competition, while creating value that customers are looking for. We believe integrators who make the investment and effort to deliver quality service deserve recognition for their efforts.”
Setting an industry standard
“The Honeywell Integrated Security Integrator Service Certification (ISC) program is setting a standard in the security industry. The program assures a consistently high level of integrator support and service to our end users. It also recognizes and rewards our integrators’ substantial investments in servicing and supporting Honeywell security systems.”
“Honeywell recognizes that our most successful integrators deliver the very highest level of quality service to their customers.”
“The ISC program sustains and enhances this level of service and provides several benefits that clearly distinguish a integrator’s service level and portfolio from those of the competition.”
On-site audit by Honeywell
To receive the certification, Honeywell administered an on-site audit and evaluation. If accepted, a dealer is designated as Authorized, Silver, Gold or Platinum. Honeywell determined that Executive Electronics deserved a Platinum designation, the highest level we could achieve.
Here at Executive Electronics, all of us work very hard, every day, to provide great service to our customers. We are honored to be recognized for that effort by Honeywell.

Mobile is a big theme
I’m currently flying home from Las Vegas where I was awed by the number of exciting new products at the International Security Conference. ISC West is held in Las Vegas annually and this show was the biggest ever with nearly 30,000 security professionals on hand. Exhibitors from countries around the world demonstrated exciting new technologies that address the needs of homes, businesses and industry. While security was the focus of the show, products also targeted automation, convenience and entertainment.
Honeywell shows new products
I had an extended visit to the Honeywell Security pavilion where representatives demonstrated new capabilities for the Total Connect mobile platform. New compatibilities with door-locking hardware, security doorbells and thermostats are slated to be included in the Total Connect ecosystem. With the new Tuxedo firmware release, you will be able to remotely monitor and control your comfort along with security, video, video doorbell, automation and GPS tracking service – all from a single app on your iOS devices. Subscribe (below article) to stay updated on Executive Electronic’s latest news about the release of this update.
Video was king of show
Video security was the largest single category at ISC West. Countless exhibitors displayed cutting-edge technology for video surveillance. Most of the video products also incorporated mobile surveillance capability. The new video technology ranged from compact but convenient residential devices to sophisticated systems for large complexes and facilities.
