ELAN has officially introduced the new ELAN Flagship Experience program. At the same time, ELAN appointed Executive Electronics as an ELAN Flagship Experience Certified Dealer. The new ELAN Flagship Experience program requires that a new smart home system be installed to ELAN specifications, the design must be certified by ELAN and the installation must be accomplished by a Flagship Experience certified dealer. The end user receives a system with a robust design consisting of quality components. ELAN grants the installed system with an unprecedented FIVE YEAR warranty.
A Flagship-certified system is comprised of any ELAN control system using a certified system design that meets minimum product requirements. The system must include an ELAN controller, touch panel and gHR200 remote, plus an ELAN, SpeakerCraft or Niles MRAV chassis, speakers and a subwoofer from SpeakerCraft, Niles or Sunfire. It must also include high-quality power management by Panamax or Furman.
Once the system is certified, the warranty for all eligible products is increased to five years, giving customers maximum confidence in their investment.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Irma’s devastation, we received a note from a customer that touched our hearts. The main reason we are passionate about our work is that we bring our clients peace of mind by protecting their families, protecting their property and sometimes – protecting their lives. When we hear from a customer who has had an emergency that was averted by our system, it reminds us why our day-to-day efforts are so important. This is why we do what we do!
Hurricane Irma brings an invisible killer
We received a heartfelt note from a client of Executive Electronics. In the note he describes a terrifying experience he was awakened to – in the darkness of night – while Hurricane Irma was pounding our coast. He wants to share his experience. He asked to remain anonymous for privacy. He hopes others will benefit from the knowledge of just what can happen – and especially what could have happened – if he hadn’t been protected by a monitored alarm system.
Here is his story…
Here is the text from the note:
To: Executive Electronics
I wanted to let you know that the monitored alarm system you installed in my new house was a lifesaver.
We went onto the generator when Irma passed over on Sunday. At 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning I got a call from your monitoring center to say there was carbon monoxide in the house and that the fire department had already been summoned. When the fire crew got here several minutes later they measured 21% CO downstairs and 25% upstairs. We had heard an intermittent beeping in the house but were just getting roused enough to start looking for the source of the beeping when the monitoring center called and told us to get out immediately.
There were eight people and assorted animals riding out the storm in the house. If it had not been for the monitored alarm system, we could all have well been dead.
The house has an UltraAire system designed to introduce outside air into the A/C ducting. It turned out the contractor had installed the intake vent for it on the roof right above the generator, and it was sucking generator exhaust into the house.
I love the home theater system you installed, but the alarm system was the best money I’ve ever spent.

The happy ending to this story is the result of a team effort.

This story would not have been possible without the dedicated professionals in our Central Station. They worked around the clock during the worst of Hurricane Irma, dealing with an enormous number of alarm systems with power failures and trouble conditions. They do an amazing job.
We are very grateful for our community’s first responders – Fire, Police and EMTs. These dedicated professionals risked their lives to respond to emergencies throughout Irma’s devastation. They save lives and property every day.

Opening Day was a HUGE success!
Opening Day for Greater Naples Little League was a HUGE success! On Saturday, February 25th, hundreds of young people and their parents, friends and relatives celebrated the first day of Greater Naples Little League for the 2017 season. Executive Electronics was the proud sponsor of Opening Day.

We are excited to sponsor the 2017 Opening Day for Greater Naples Little League Baseball. Greater Naples Little League is a great organization that brings the excitement of baseball to many children and their families in the Naples area.
About Opening Day
On site, all day, there will be bounce houses, football toss contests, basketball one-on-one shootouts, equipment vendors, an inflatable basketball hoop of the little ones, cornhole boards, a dunk tank where players can dunk their coaches and/or board members, face painting, a balloon twisting wizard, super-pickle in the afternoon, and every registered player will get a free Kona Ice from the Kona Ice truck on site starting at 11:00!

Single A games will start at 9:00 a.m., and on-field opening ceremonies will start at approximately 10:00 and go until 10:45. Each of the teams and their sponsors will be announced on the field starting at 10, so make sure you stick around for that, so that your sons’ and/or daughters’ can be recognized with their teams and all of their friendly competitors!
From there, games will re-convene and run from 11:00 a.m. through the early afternoon. This will be an opening day unlike we’ve ever done, and we encourage players and their families to take part in all that we have to offer – absolutely free!!

About Greater Naples Little League
Each year, Greater Naples Little League (GNLL) helps over 360 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 14 learn and enjoy our national pasttime. GNLL was franchised on May 22nd, 1959, making it the first Little League in Collier County.
GNLL is dedicated to creating an environment that places equal emphasis on learning positive skills such as sportsmanship, competition, and team effort, while learning the game of baseball and having fun. There are over 140 volunteers that dedicate their time to the league every season. GNLL applauds the Board of Directors, League Volunteers, Team Managers, Assistant Coaches, and Team Parents that make the program possible.
Greater Naples Little League is a chartered affiliate of Little League Baseball, Inc. and participates within the newly designated District 27 of the Little League Southern Region. Today we’re introducing a new website feature designed to make your life a little bit easier. Now you’ll be able to pay invoices or set up automatic payments with ease. You’ll also be able to request service and then see how the service was resolved.
Check out the black menu bar at the very top of our website. “Request service” and “Pay your bill” both take you to the login for the new customer service area. The first time you visit, you’ll want to click on “Setup new account”. Once you complete this step, you’ll be able to do a number of things:
- View your new invoices and your paid invoices
- Print an invoice
- Pay an invoice with a credit card or with a bank payment (ACH)
- Add or delete a credit card or bank account
- Sign up for auto-pay
- Request a service call (create a service ticket)
- View open and closed service tickets
- Add notes to service tickets
- Upload (attach) a document to a service ticket
- View documents attached to a service ticket

Check out the new menu items at the top of our website. “Request service” and “Pay your bill” both take you to a new login page. Once you create an account, you’ll be able log in using the unique password you created. Then you can check invoices, pay your bill, set up automatic payments and review your paid invoices.
Do you need service? You’ll be able to log in and request service.

Executive Electronics honored
Honeywell Integrated Security recently designated Executive Electronics of Southwest Florida Inc as a Platinum-level Security Integrator Service Dealer. We are proud to receive this certification from Honeywell.

Mobile is a big theme
I’m currently flying home from Las Vegas where I was awed by the number of exciting new products at the International Security Conference. ISC West is held in Las Vegas annually and this show was the biggest ever with nearly 30,000 security professionals on hand. Exhibitors from countries around the world demonstrated exciting new technologies that address the needs of homes, businesses and industry. While security was the focus of the show, products also targeted automation, convenience and entertainment.
Honeywell shows new products
I had an extended visit to the Honeywell Security pavilion where representatives demonstrated new capabilities for the Total Connect mobile platform. New compatibilities with door-locking hardware, security doorbells and thermostats are slated to be included in the Total Connect ecosystem. With the new Tuxedo firmware release, you will be able to remotely monitor and control your comfort along with security, video, video doorbell, automation and GPS tracking service – all from a single app on your iOS devices. Video was king of show
Video security was the largest single category at ISC West. Countless exhibitors displayed cutting-edge technology for video surveillance. Most of the video products also incorporated mobile surveillance capability. The new video technology ranged from compact but convenient residential devices to sophisticated systems for large complexes and facilities.
