Meet Our Management Team

John P. Minerva
President

For the past ten years as President of Executive Electronics of SW FL, Inc., John has overseen all of the day-to-day activities of the business, as well as the overall team vision and strategy.  This attention to both the short-term details and the long-term strategy has led to countless business process improvements, as well as the implementation of multiple strategic initiatives – including the acquisition and integration of Premier Security in 2008 – that have helped improve the business operations, builder relationships, and customer experience at Executive.  His leadership during the recent economic downturn has helped Executive manage through a tough economic climate, while continuing to drive additional growth, efficiency, and profitability.

Before he purchased Executive, John spent over 20 years in key management positions with McDonald’s Corporation.  At the height of his tenure with McDonald’s, he was responsible for sales and profitability of over 150 restaurants and 44 franchisees across state of Ohio, generating over $250 million in annual revenue.  Prior to his role in operations, he also spent 10 years in corporate security, consulting with corporate stores and franchisees on best-in-class security protocols and loss prevention across the Midwest region.  John’s experience in the private sector also transcends into the public sector – for 4 years, he worked in law enforcement at the Attorney General’s office in Columbus, Ohio, working for the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (B.C.I.), where he was gained broad-reaching experience in numerous departments, including crime victim compensation, narcotics, and organized crime.

John graduated from Niagara University with a B.A. in Political Science, and a Minor in Criminal Justice.  He and his wife Laurie – who is also a principal in the company, and owner of Executive Designs, www.executivedesigns.info  – have been married for over 30 years.  They have three children, three grandchildren, and live in Bonita Springs, FL.

“Johnny” Minerva
VP, Business Development

While John officially joined the Executive Electronics team in December of 2007, he was no stranger to the business.  In fact, he was part of the team that helped perform the due diligence when Executive was acquired in 2002.  Today, he helps oversee the customer service portion of the business, focusing primarily on field service items and system upgrades for Executive’s existing customer base.  In addition, he is responsible for all internal and external marketing and communications.

Prior to joining Executive, John spent 6 years with Bombardier Recreational Products, makers of Sea-Doo personal watercraft, Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Can-Am ATV’s, and Evinrude/Johnson outboard engines.  While at BRP, he held several field sales and management positions under the Evinrude/Johnson umbrella, including District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Director, and Manager, Network Development.  Prior to his role in the sales organization, he managed the brands’ Sales, Planning, and Analysis (SP&A) team, which was charged with sales forecasting and data analysis.

John graduated cum laude with a B.S.J. – Public Relations – from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, as well as a Minor in Spanish language studies, and a Certificate in International Business and Communication from OU’s Global Leadership Center.  He is also a graduate of the Bonita Springs Chamber of Commerce Leadership Bonita Program, class of 2009-2010.

John and his wife Rachel, whom he met at Ohio University, married in 2007.  They have two children, and live in Bonita Springs, FL.

David Minerva
VP, Sales/Installation

Dave Minerva joined the Executive Electronics team in May of 2004.  Early on, he knew that sales were what he was passionate about.  While attending Marietta College, he was one of the top sales representatives in the nation with a company called Vector Marketing, where he was promoted to Sales Manager his senior year. After graduation, his father (Executive Electronics President John Minerva) offered him an opportunity to work in what was a small business at the time, move to beautiful south Florida, and learn the new family business.  After 6 years, he holds the title of VP of Sales/Installation, where he is responsible for system design, sales, and installation, working primarily with new home and business construction.

Dave graduated from Marietta College with a Bachelor’s in Business Management, and a minor in Leadership Studies.  He was recruited to play Baseball for the Pioneers, and pitched for 2 years.  When he decided to work for Vector Marketing his junior year, he decided to end his baseball career, but still found time to remain active as a member of the club rugby team.  He was Vice President his senior year as Fly Half.  He was also a founding-father of a fraternity, and led the group with the largest recruitment class the college has ever seen.

Dave and his wife Adi, who met in Naples, married in 2009.  They have one child, and live in Bonita Springs, FL.
